A Second or Third Grade Thinking Skills Program

Two lessons per week ( 60-90 minutes weekly) for a 30 week school year. Cognitive Skill Development Lessons: Whole group discussion of a problem, issue, situation, etc., set at 30 minutes per week with the whole class. Follow-up work set at 30 minutes per week ( optional/recommended). Lateral Skill Development Lessons: This involves the creative, inventive, innovative side of thinking. The tasks are done on drawing paper and set at 30 minutes per week. The results are examined, labeled, discussed, corrected as necessary, etc.
