Many gifted children suffer their own kind of trauma as they cope with trying to fit into society and expectations placed on them. Having society, parents, teachers, a school system not understand them and how they think and learn, can have a profound impact on a child. Combining decades of experience working with gifted children and research with children coping with trauma, we developed several strategies adults should know about these unique children.

Adam Laningham is an author, consultant and founder of Bright Child Books LLC. She is the Special Education Director at the Unity Charter School. Currently, Dr. Sadin works as an education consultant and developmental trauma expert providing professional development to school districts, municipal service providers, and parents. Great Books provide great instructions

This was highly instructional and eye opening.
